Panel Discussion Webinar: Preparing for 2021: Managing Incursion / Excursion Risk in Australian Schools

11/11/20
Resources

With all schools now back in the classroom, restrictions easing and borders reopening throughout Australia, schools around the country are getting back to excursions this term, and planning swimming carnivals, camps and excursions for 2021. And with a heightened risk lens due to COVID-19, school leaders and teachers have more considerations than ever before when planning.

On Tuesday 17 November, 2020, CompliSpace and Operoo are bringing together a panel of school leaders to discuss some of these issues and will follow this discussion with a demonstration of how they are helping schools manage some of the challenges ahead.

This webinar is open to all educators and is ideal for excursion planners, approvers, business managers, risk and compliance officers, deputies and principals, heads of co-curricular and department heads. Here are the details and how to register:

About the Webinar

Part 1: Panel Discussion

Hear from our panel of school leaders as they discuss:

1. Operational Changes: Preparing and Managing School Trips and Extracurricular Activities

What operational changes should your school be making to prepare for and manage COVID-safe activities outside the classroom in 2021? What further protections should you be putting in place in these pre-vaccine times? What are some of the lessons learned from COVID-safe activities and excursions in Term 4 2020?

2. Collecting, Verifying, Accessing and Acting on Medical Data

How has COVID-19 impacted the way schools collect, verify and ensure ‘anytime access’ to up-to-date medical information for students and staff? How should you identify and manage vulnerable cohorts within your school community (e.g. students, staff or family members with high-risk medical conditions, such as asthma or diabetes)?

3. Risk Appetite: Now and in the Future

What changes should you make to your plans regarding school incursions, excursions and camps? Has the amount and type of risk that schools are prepared to take on changed? And, if so, is this likely to have lasting impacts for schools beyond COVID-19?

Part 2: Demonstration

Watch as we demonstrate how you can combine Operoo and CompliSpace’s PlanCheckGo solution to help deliver COVID-safe extracurricular activities, incursions, excursions and camps.
