An ACT report has found an increase in suicide - being the cause of six deaths of young people aged between 15 and 17. The Sydney Morning Herald also states that the report also shows a worrying proportion of deaths where the children or siblings were known to Child Protection Services.

Half of UK school's governors quit amid police investigations

In Scotland, UK, half of the governors of Scotland's national deaf school have quit following a police investigation into misconduct and alleged sexual offences. The Edinburgh News reports that earlier, a support worker at the school was convicted of indecent assault.

US college applications sanitise social media profiles

According to the New York Times, students are becoming more savvy and are sanitising their social media profiles ahead of college applications. The report also looks at the trend of US colleges examining applicants' social media profiles.

US teacher put on leave after video showing girl attempting to be dragged into pool

In the US, a school teacher is facing a charge of corporal injury to a child after a video was release, apparently of him forcing a 14-year-old girl into a pool.ABC News has the story and video.
