SA porn scandal teacher yet to be referred to registration board

2/11/13

A high school teacher who used a student's internet login to view pornography and left the student to take the blame has yet to be referred to the Teachers Registration Board, according the the Adelaide Advertiser.

The reports follows revelations last month that the South Australian Department of Education paid $30,000 in "hush" money to the former student for wrongly being accused of visiting hundreds of pornography websites in 2004. An investigation later found that a teacher had used the student’s internet log-in to view the sites.

The teacher was only suspended last month when the revelations became public.
